In the first part of this article, there are described the different day-old chick quantitative traits: they are namely the chick weight, the chick yield, chick length and feather length. There are, however, methods that can help to measure the qualitative traits as objectively as possible, i.e. by reducing the individual subjectivity to a minimum.
