The organisers of SPACE have announced the winners of the Innov’Space 2026 Awards, recognising innovations that contribute to the advancement of livestock production. After evaluating 78 applications, the jury selected 32 innovations: 26 received a one-star award and six were granted the highest two-star distinction. The Jury’s Top Choices will be revealed during the Innov’Space Awards Ceremony on 15 September, the opening day of SPACE 2026.
Among the 32 Innov’Space Award winners, several technologies are either specifically developed for poultry production or have applications in poultry farming alongside other livestock sectors. Together, they reflect current priorities in egg production, farm automation, biosecurity, nutrition and flock management.
One of the innovations developed specifically for egg production is Ovoclear, which received a one-star Innov’Space Award for Vencomatic. Integrated directly into the egg handling line, the automated system removes feathers from eggs after leak detection, replacing a task that has traditionally been carried out manually. According to the company, Ovoclear removes up to 90% of feathers, reduces conveyor belt interference by at least 80% and processes up to 45,000 table or hatching eggs per hour, helping increase the proportion of first-grade eggs while reducing manual labour.
Automation is also at the centre of Sharky 430, the one-star award-winning innovation from Big Dutchman. Developed for rearing and laying aviary systems, the autonomous cleaning robot is designed to clean multiple tiers, nests and troughs without the need for guide rails. Powered by batteries, it can operate continuously, including overnight, while programmable cleaning cycles and remote status notifications support routine hygiene management.
The jury also recognised Roll-Bouch, developed by MCJ Innov, with a one-star award. Designed for poultry farms, the electrically powered wheelbarrow distributes straw pellets during litter renewal through an adjustable dispensing system. Its gravity-fed hopper is designed to empty completely without manual intervention, helping reduce the physical workload associated with re-bedding poultry houses.
Another poultry-specific innovation receiving a one-star award is Securitor Flash from CCPA Groupe. Administered through drinking water, the liquid nutritional solution combines aromatic compounds with garlic essential oil to support digestive balance by acting on communication mechanisms within the intestinal microbiota involved in the organisation of bacterial communities and biofilm formation. According to the company, trials conducted under laboratory conditions and on commercial farms demonstrated improvements in final body weight and feed conversion ratio, with up to a 10% increase in margin per bird.
The official Innov’Space selection also includes AviPro™ Salmonella Duo from Elanco, recognised by the jury as a new vaccination solution for poultry.
Several additional award-winning technologies have broader applications across livestock production while also being relevant to poultry farming.
Among them, AGRIPROTECH received a two-star Innov’Space Award for LazerTrac® LZT1000-S, an autonomous laser bird deterrent system equipped with artificial intelligence. Combining a 4K camera with AI-based bird and wildlife recognition, the system identifies target species and automatically adapts laser movements according to observed behaviour. With an operating range exceeding 400 metres, it is designed for long-term bird deterrence across large outdoor areas.
Biosecurity is represented by SANIHOUSE, a one-star award-winning system developed by Maison Bleue and Innovlap. The insulated facility simplifies fallen stock management through automated gates and a motorised platform that transfers rendering bins between the farm and collection areas without requiring collection vehicles to enter the farm perimeter, facilitating compliance with health regulations while simplifying deadstock management.
Foodbasket7, developed by IFIP, is another award-winning innovation with relevance across animal production sectors. The free web-based platform evaluates both the nutritional quality and the environmental impact of complete weekly diets by assessing nutrient intake alongside indicators such as greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption and land use. Rather than evaluating individual foods, it analyses the balance of an entire diet and provides a scientific framework for assessing the contribution of animal-derived foods to healthy, diverse and sustainable diets.
According to Didier Lucas, Chairman of SPACE, the diversity of the award-winning innovations reflects both the variety of exhibitors and the industry’s capacity for innovation. Across all livestock sectors, the 2026 awards highlight three major trends: the growing integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, continued advances in agricultural machinery, and increasing attention to animal health and biosecurity.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover all the Innov’Space 2026 award-winning innovations during SPACE, which will take place in Rennes, France, from 15 to 17 September 2026.
