Broiler prices stay high

In week 46, the EU broiler price reached €290.76/100 kg, reflecting:

  • +0.1% vs last week

  • –3.8% vs last month

  • +4.6% vs last year

EU prices remain above the United States (€131.03/100 kg) and Brazil (€203.76/100 kg).

Production structure unchanged

EU poultry production remains dominated by:

  • Broilers: 83.8%

  • Turkeys: 11.9%

  • Ducks: 3.0%

Leading EU producers (2024)

Six Member States represent 73% of EU poultry output (14.048 million tonnes):

  • Poland – 2.892 million t

  • Spain – 1.803 million t

  • France – 1.722 million t

  • Germany – 1.570 million t

  • Italy – 1.391 million t
