To equip Arbor Acres, Indian River and Ross customers with the most current flock management information, key sections of each handbook have been enhanced:
- The Gradingsection now gives practical examples for accurate bird grading. This section is also more globally applicable, as it describes grading methods using both coefficient of variation (CV%) and uniformity.
- The Environmental Requirementsprovide detail on how to maintain high air quality throughout the life cycle of a bird. Ventilation rates have been updated in line with bird requirements based on latest field data and scientific findings.
- Over the years consistent and balanced selection has brought about greater feed efficiency across all of Aviagen’s brands. The Nutritionsection offers the best dietary guidelines to maintain ultimate health and fitness.
- The Health and Biosecuritysection has been expanded with helpful advice for designing and implementing vaccination programs, as well as monitoring vaccine responses and effectiveness.
