MPF Slice of learning Educational Program

83

The Midwest Poultry Federation (MPF) is thrilled to announce the reboot of its ‘Slice of Learning’ Educational Program, this year focusing on the important and incredibly timely discussion around cage-free egg production and meeting industry standards by the year 2025. This educational program will be held on Thursday, March 24, as part of the 2022 MPF Convention.

In this program, MPF will offer three egg-production related tracks during the week of the convention. Slice of Learning will build upon these presentations and create an open-ended discussion where participants will work together as a group to discuss, engage, learn, and focus on action-oriented outcomes for the egg industry.

Steve Olson Consulting LLC, in partnership with MPF, will design and facilitate the Slice of Learning workshop.

MPF Education Co-Chairs Dr. Darrin Karcher, Purdue University, and Ken Koelkebeck, University of Illinois, are enthusiastic about creating a program that will produce much-needed and tangible outcomes for the egg industry.

Said Karcher: “This hour-long program is open to all who wish to participate and grow in their education of cage-free egg production, as we discuss the important issues and standards that egg producers face in the near future.”
