Marel Dongen has moved into a completely new production center in Dongen, equipped with the most modern facilities.

The most modern facilities in an inspiring environment: on 20 November 2019, Marel officially opened its completely new production center in Dongen, the Netherlands. All production and office activities now take place in the state-of-the-art building at the Tichelrijt II business park.

For 60 years, the production site in Dongen has been manufacturing machine parts for Marel Poultry, the poultry branch within the world-leading company Marel. The end products, high-quality food processing systems, are assembled in collaboration with the Marel site in Boxmeer.

Fully up-to-date

Since the former location in Dongen no longer met contemporary standards, realization of a new production center was a logical yet exciting step. The new building basically accommodates the same activities as before. It features 40 production places as well as eight office places, now in a setting that is completely up-to-date. Relocation of the massive production machines was organized gradually over the last months and went very smoothly without interrupting customer deliveries.
The official opening ceremony was carried out by Marina Starmans-Gelijns, mayor of Dongen, in the presence of a large Marel delegation, including CEO Árni Oddur Thórdarson.

Highest levels

Marel employees in Dongen can now make use of the most modern and sophisticated production facilities at their clean and healthy work places. All equipment, services and logistics of the new production center perform at the highest levels of quality, safety and ergonomics. Marel is convinced that this new, inspiring environment will lead to a lot of innovative and successful business.
